Christmas Samplers

FYI.... The Christmas Samplers are complete!  There are only 25, so come get them while you can.  They are all dirt cheap... and we mean WAY below retail.  The variations we decided on are as follows:

The New Smoker- $19.95-  We chose what we consider the perfect smokes for the newer folks...

Macanudo Gold Duke of York:  Mild and Creamy cigar with notes of vanilla and wood.  Scored 89 in Cigar Aficionado.
Nat Sherman Metropolitan Maduro Angler:  Great burning stick.  Has notes of muted cocoa and licorice with a vanilla taste on the finish.
Casa Toraño Robusto:  Mild smoke with a beautiful Ecuadorian wrapper and woody finish.
Hoyo de Tradición Toro:  A sweeter cigar with toasty cedar notes.  Floral and earthy hints fall into a perfect creamy finish.  Scored 90 in the latest issue of Cigar Aficionado.

(And get a double-blade cutter with this sampler!!!)

Iron Man- $27.95-  For the experienced smoker only!!!  We chose four of our favorite full-bodied smokes packed with flavor and and aged tobaccos.

The Edge Maduro Toro: An oily cigar with a hearty taste of hickory wood.  The finish is full of coffee and an earthy spice.
Cohiba Black Corona:  A strong solid core of anise and licorice.  Carries coffee notes and has a toasty finish.  Scored 88 in Cigar Aficionado.
Padilla Miami 8/11 Robusto:  Oily and sweet packing a punch full of coffee beans, earth, and spice.  Scored 92 in Cigar Aficionado.
La Flor Dominicana Chisel Maduro:  Dark and oily, giving off amazing aromas as it burns.  Sweet leather, cream, and spice build to an amazing long finish.  Scored 91 in Cigar Aficionado.

The Elite Sampler- $38.95- We've picked out our favorite elite cigars, put them in a bag, and cut the price down to crazy. This one is pure enjoyment for seasoned smokers... Enjoy.

Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ Torpedo:  One of Matt's very favorites, by his favorite maker in the business.  Enough said...
Savinelli Special Nicaraguan Reserve 2004 Torpedo:  This sticks have a smokey hickory taste with hints of spice and cedar.  Medium bodied, and no longer available after ours are gone!
Coranado By La Flor Double Corona:  Balanced flavors of sweet cocoa, leather, and earth.  This smoke has a sweet cedary finish and has rated in the 90's and was Cigar Aficionado's #2 cigar of the year in 2006!
Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente Sun Grown Torpedo:  Smooth smoke with sweet cedar notes and hints of white pepper.  It's a Fuente, so you can expect a good burn and great experience from this sungrown.
Oliva Masterblend Torpedo:  A woody, medium bodied Nicaraguan puro you are sure to love.  Expect a great burn, smooth draw, and pleasant finish from this elite stick.
Oliva Serie V Double Toro:  A tasty and complex cigar that wowed it's market with a score of 94 last year in the torpedo size.  This stick is woody and nutty with hints of coffee throughout.  You will keep coming back for this stick, but do it soon... they are always on backorder for this reason!

Last week during one of our warmer afternoons, we fired up the grill and laid some steaks across it. After dinner I retired to my "Island" retreat with one of those fantastic Maduro brand cigars (purchased at Goodfellas...where else?). It was mild, sweet and very smooth. No better way to enjoy a sunset. I highly recommend them.
